Two (more) Flashback Tees for Hugo
Guys he’s NINE today! Can you believe it?? (Here’s the post from when he was born)
He’s truly such a great kiddo!! But we have a fun birthday party planned for him in just about an hour, so I will just take a quick moment to show you two of the Flashback Tees I made him this year!
This is actually his second bus tee. Fabric is Sidewalk - my line of knits for Cloud9 that came out in 2016.
And I also made him this one for Christmas, using pieces of organic red and green striped knit:
I made both using the size 7/8 Flashback pattern (ie the “big kids” version of the pattern - it comes in two size ranges), even though he’s nine. It fits him perfectly right now, but I did cut out a new tee in the next size up to make a summer tee for him, so by next fall these might be too small.
That’s one of the things I like about the Flashback pattern is it does seem to fit a long time; it looks a little oversized when they first wear it, and then it turns into a true “skinny tee” until it comes up to mid-arm and you have to sneak it out of their drawer while they’re not paying attention. There may still be one or two size 6 Flashbacks in his dresser right now that he’s still wearing. Ahem.
If you fancy making a tee like this for a little (or big) kiddo in your life, you can find the pattern in my shop!
