Garnet is here!
Hurrah, hurray! Garnet is here! I'm so happy to announce that this sewing pattern is now available in my shop in digital format today. Garnet is available in our extended size range, with fourteen sizes designed for chest measurements 32-66" [81-168 cm].
Garnet's fun and playful design is perfect for showing off two coordinating prints, or showcasing a favorite solid fabric with tuck details. The pattern is perfect for the confident beginner sewist who is ready to add some skills and variety to their garment-sewing repertoire.
This instant-download PDF pattern includes pattern pieces with layers in both print-at-home and A0 copyshop formats, full color instructions, a handy instruction summary sheet, and an appendix of my favorite seam finishes.
Garnet is designed for woven fabrics and features a square neckline and dramatic gathered sleeves. It can be sewn with two contrasting fabrics, separate flat cuffs, and without tucks for a simpler project (view a), or with a single fabric, elastic cuffs, and wide tucks on the sleeves and hem for a fun structural detail (view b).
This pattern is designed as a sibling pattern to Ruby so you can mix and match the two patterns for even more options. Garnet's sleeve can be added to Ruby, or you can swap Ruby’s yoke for Garnet’s if you want a rounded neckline paired with Garnet’s voluminous sleeves and body. Keep an eye on my blog for some Ruby + Garnet inspiration and how-to posts.
And here's a special Garnet launch BONUS: buy Garnet, get Ruby 50% off
From now until December 31, when you buy the Garnet pattern, you will automatically receive 50% off Ruby at checkout - you can find them both in my pattern shop.
More details about this pattern, including sizing and yardage charts, can be found on the Garnet Page on my website. You can also find everything you need to make Garnet - check out the “Get Ready for Garnet” post on my blog.
