Favorite Flowers Rose Pants
Rose pants are a TNT pattern for me (elastic back waist? comfy wide leg? check, check), and when I saw this fun canvas print from Ruby Star’s new collection, Favorite Flowers, I knew they’d be a fun addition to my fall wardrobe. The weight of the canvas makes it ideal for pants or tote bags, and I like that these feel heavier than most of my other pairs of Rose pants which means I’ll be more likely to wear them this fall. I cropped the length to show off my new(ish) Duckboots:
Originally I was drawn to the yellow flowers in the print, which seemed like they would match my Astragal sweater (and they do!), but more recently I found a few summer tops to match that are also handmade…I think this really illustrates how versatile these pants will be, don’t you think?
I’m a member of the Ruby Star Maker class of 2024, which means I applied to be one of their featured makers last December and they send us free fabric to sew things with. This was my first project with the Ruby Star canvas, but definitely not my go round with Ruby Star fabrics, which I have bought and sewn with many, many times. I love the high quality of the RS fabrics and of course the fun colorful designs really appeal to me — I’ll happily promote their fabrics and company any time.
