May Outfits, Week 4

What I wore this fourth week of May!(see previous weeks here and here and here)…

I’m not tired of wearing handmade things, but I admit I am getting a little weary of photographing the outfits and writing these posts. Sooooo….just a warning this might be the last of my MMM2024 outfit (and hence Surprise Sale) posts. As far as what I wore? It got pretty warm this past week so I found myself preferring Cleo skirts and sleeveless tops like Ruby and Gemma rather than Rose pants and Citrine cardigans.

Just a quick fun update on Gemma: I have been working to update the Gemma tank pattern, which in addition to more sizes will now include a cropped length as well as the original length. The green version of Gemma I’m wearing above was my test of the cropped length, just finished yesterday. I gotta say, I love it!!

As you may recall, Gemma is based off of Beatrix, which we’ve also been working to update out of its original 6-size version (ack!), and even though Gemma was one of the first patterns that I added plus sizes to, I knew I wanted to expand the range of this versatile summer favorite even more (it will go from from max chest 51” to max chest 66”).

On Fridays this month I'm posting the handmade things I've worn that week, and put all of the PDF patterns from those outfits on sale (25% off) in my pattern shop for just a week, until the next Friday, when the Surprise Sale will reset with all new patterns (maybe? unless I wear the same things repeatedly, that is definitely a possibility).
