Jade Tester Roundup
Now that my new pattern, Jade, is out in the world, I wanted to give a big shout out to the awesome ladies who tested it out!! They’re the ones you can thank for helping me find and fix issues (looking at you, top of sleeve cap), and I’m so very grateful to them for the time and care they took stitching up their versions and providing feedback to help us make this pattern the very best it could be.
I also want to give a huge thank you to Cloud9 Fabrics and Cotton and Steel, who so generously provided sample yardage for some of our testers to use as well. I’ll note which ones those are as we go through the post.
I love the gorgeous purple hue of Brienne’s purple Jade (shown above). That color is just gorgeous with her blue Lander Pants, which she also sewed!
Meghan (@joyfulemon) stitched up multiple versions, including one in a lovely Cotton and Steel jersey, and another in a gorgeous solid teal knit shown below.
I love Whitney’s (@whitneyknits) perfectly maritime-themed Jade here. Bonus: she’s paired her Jade with her Cleo Skirt!
Natalie of sewhungryhippie didn’t waste any time modifying this Jade (bottom left) by adding length to make it into a dress! That gorgeous pink dress (top right) is a Jade + Isla mashup in Cotton and Steel jersey.
Love this striped Cloud9 interlock version from Mary (@francesmakes). That’s going to be so versatile!
Another great basic tee in grey from Teri (teridodds1)!
Julie (nursebean82) is beyond prolific when she gets ahold of a pattern she likes. She started with this striped Cloud9 interlock tee…
and then went on to mix and match it every which way with Isla! Jade is interchangeable with Isla (my other women’s pattern for knit fabrics), and Julie has already made at least three Jade+Isla combos. You can purchase both Jade and Isla PDFs as a bundle here!
I love this striped version with a scoop neckline from Kim!
And a couple of lovely striped versions from Kten! (@jinxandgunner). The citron stripe is a Cloud9 interlock.
