Liberty Trillium with a sleeve

I’ve been working on a free sleeve pattern piece for Trillium for a while now that comes in all of the new sizes we released last year. I’ve had a free Trillium (formerly Washi) sleeve pattern piece available since 2012 (see this post), but it was never drafted into multiple sizes; you had to slash and spread the pattern piece to size. At some point, maybe I’ll finish updating the expansion pack, and if I do that, I’ll no longer offer this new one as a freebie, but for now I’ve put it into a new post: How to add a sleeve to Trillium, which includes a link to have the pattern piece emailed to you.

I finished this dress using the new sleeve pattern piece last fall. When I started it a few years ago, I originally thought I might also add a ruffle around the neckline — ruffles seem to be all the rage right now — but then I discovered how well this dress coordinated with my Droplet Capelet, and that didn’t seem like it would work as well over a ruffled neckline, so I left it off. Considering I’ll probably wear this dress most often in spring and fall, with a combination of jeans or leggings and boots, that seems like a pretty solid decision.
