About The Josephine Pattern
A versatile pleated blouse or tunic for woven fabrics, Josephine is a great project for the confident beginner sewist who is ready to add some skills and variety to their garment-sewing repertoire. The pattern includes six women’s sizes with two front bodices to fit either A/B or C/D cup sizes. View A is a tunic with full sleeves, elastic cuffs and optional belt. View B is a blouse with gathered sleeves with separate cuff and a back elastic casing. View C is sleeveless with a center front slit and side vents. All necklines are finished with bias binding.
The Josephine pattern is available only in digital format.
Yardage and Materials
• woven fabric (see chart below for amounts)
• 1/2 yd 1/4″ wide elastic (View A, elastic cuff option only)
• 1/2 yd 3/8” wide elastic (View B only)
• coordinating thread
Recommended fabrics
Woven light to medium weight fabrics such as cotton lawn, voile, double gauze, poplin, rayon challis, shirting, shot cotton, and silk.
